My first task to getting my shit in order, a command/operations center/binder.
Ugh. This is so far daunting.
So I have been reading about these all over the web. OK really all over on Pintrest (totally addicted to that site). Now mind you most of these post are a couple years old that I stumble across. These ladies have had their shit together for a while. I am behind the 8ball on this. But better late than never right?
I have downloaded file. Printed pages. Made notes. Realized - one central thing really won't work for me and what I am comfortable with. And right now this is about making things that are me - not me fitting into a mold.
So here is what I came up with. I need a few of these.
Working Binder - I will work on a catchy name later but basically this is binder I will be working out of all the time. It will contain daily, monthly and yearly stuff. Things to accomplish, schedules, to dos, important infos etc. I am also going to have it contain work related stuff. Both for the blog and my businesses. I will probably add more to it but for now this is where it stands.
Operations Binder - This will contain all those important things that I don't want floating around in a binder I use every day. Basically because I would inevitably loose something out of it and then would be pissed.
Command/Organization Station - This is where I am planning on centralizing all my working binder and clip board and a few other things so I can easily get to them.
Clipboard - I saw this idea on TipJunkie about having a clipboard to take with you for your errand days. Loved the idea because I am always forgetting things I need to do and because having everything there and ready to go would just totally rock. I am planning on using a clipboard that has a closing things (wow can't think of what that would be called) so I can keep the receipts etc in it and not loose or misplace them. I don't know if you can tell yet but I have a bad habit of misplacing things.
So while this post is boring and no pictures. The ones that follow will show my process.
Enjoy!
Liz
